Thunder is hope. Ambition. Youth. Vigour. Mind. Heart. Service. A movement. They live the belief that meaningful work and authentic community aren't ideals to chase, but realities we’re responsible for creating. In their presence, I discover something rare: they create a space where safety and challenge coexist. You feel truly seen, supported, and cared for, yet unable to remain complacent. You know that old wisdom about how the average of your closest five people shapes you? Surround yourself with Thunder, and watch your becoming when you see them chase better versions of themselves—for their work, their community, their own becoming. Staying small feels almost impossible—not because they demand it, but because you can no longer ignore the part of yourself that sees its own potential.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about the Thunder team and Thunder community is how grateful I am for their presence, everything they stand for and everything they do in order to achieve that. By working beside them for a while I got the chance to see how much they value unity, trust, generosity and especially helping others. Their vision on work always involves a higher and meaningful purpose, which is what keeps bringing together wonderful people to the Thunder community.
I believe that the only way of truly getting a sense of who they are and how they try to make a difference is by getting out there, attending Thunder events, sharing a hug and a story and feeling the warmth and kindness of the whole community.
Thunder is a community unlike any I've ever come across. A community by the people and for the people. These are amazing individuals - warm, proactive, and full of ideas they actually put into practice. Whether you meet them at Thunder events, their bookclub, or just spot them on the street, they'll always greet you with a big smile.
Philosophy, books, life, engineering, IT, travel...there's no topic they can't dive into! In conclusion, for me, Thunder has proven that a healthy organizational culture is possible, that you can put the well-being of others ahead of yourself, and that you can surround yourself with great people who have strong, healthy values.
When I think of a team that truly reflects authentic values and nurtures growth, the Thunder community is the first that comes to mind. Their commitment to paying it forward, genuinely caring for others, and fostering an authentic desire to contribute makes them The MODEL for building meaningful communities.
What sets them apart is their unwavering dedication to striving for excellence in everything they do, always encouraging those around them to make a difference. Just being close to their circle fills me with inspiration, positive energy, and the wisdom to keep growing.

From the very first event I went to, where there were no more than 10 of us, I could tell this was a special place. It felt genuine, like the kind of place where real connections happen and conversations go beyond small talk. Even though we all came from different parts of the country and backgrounds, I instantly felt at home, like I belonged.
Being part of Thunder has changed the way I approach things. Now, instead of thinking “What can I get out of this?” I find myself asking, “How can I help?” It’s been a refreshing shift in mindset.
What really amazes me is the commitment of the Thunder team. Cris and the rest of the crew are truly dedicated and kind, and they live by their motto. They host all kinds of events, not just Thunder Talks, and the fact that they do it all for free just shows how much they care about making this space accessible to everyone.
Honestly, being a part of Thunder has been one of the best things I’ve experienced this past year. It’s been a highlight for sure, and I’m really grateful for the connections and inspiration it’s brought into my life.
Thunder is about kind souls who care for others; it is a place full of life. Every event organised moves around the values of giving, helping and love of people. These events are inspiring and motivational. The Thunder team manages to create meaningful contexts and to bring together people with shared values.
I am grateful for the opportunity to take part in these initiatives, mainly to be together with people who wish to bring change in society and who are interested in the community.
